ADIRONDACK NATURE

As a child, Hayward played on the waters and in the forests of the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York. Walking in rivers, exploring lakes, going on family hikes, and building forts out of trees and rocks cultivated a deep connection to the natural world. Lake and mountain views from her dock provided a tutorial in light, color, texture and weather. This immersion in the outdoors was the foundation for Hayward’s future work as a photographer of nature.
